César Martínez Alemán

Partner in Corporate and Energy Law. He worked for more than 11 years at the law firm Barrera, Siqueiros y Torres Landa (today Hogan Lovells BSTL) where he had the opportunity to participate in arbitration and dispute resolution proceedings, corporate law and antitrust, as well as in information technology law.

As part of his professional background, he worked as a foreign associate attorney at the firm Nabarro (today CMS UK), based in the City of London, where he acquired experience both in English Law and in European Union Law. He also had the opportunity to work directly with barristers, the other field of law in the United Kingdom, having been the pupil of Maitland Chambers. His professional experience includes participating in litigations with international aspects, even obtaining evidence abroad, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards, including the Constitutional (Amparo) Lawsuit.

His main areas of practice include Commercial Arbitration, Constitutional Lawsuits (Amparo), Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Compliance and Internal Investigations (UK- Bribery Act and US- FCPA).

César has excelled in his advisory to foreign investors who come to invest in Mexico to facilitate the processes of creating, developing, expanding and consolidating their business.

Since 2007 he has been a university professor in Alternate Means of Dispute Resolution in the Universidad Iberoamericana, 2007 and 2009 and was a professor in Tec de Monterrey – Campus Santa Fe in the English course provided for law degree: Information Technology Legislation.
